Zbog erupcije vulkana Sidirnes, što u prevodu znači južno poluostrvo, obustavljen je sav vazdušni saobraćaj sa i ka aerodromu u Keflaviku, glavnom gradu istoimenog regiona, prenosi Rojters.
Sidirnes je poluostrvo na jugozapadu Islanda i jedan je od osam regiona te zemlje.
