Na mestu pucnjave raspoređeni su policajci, a u tom području primećen je i helikopter.
Prema kancelariji lokalnog šerifa, područje incidenta trenutno se ne smatra aktivnim. Policija istražuje i druge „Volmartove“ prodavnice u tom području.

Bret Bafington, dopisnik hjustonske „KHOU 11“ stanice rekao je da je jedna osoba povređena u pucnjavi, a da je napadač priveden.
U dve pucnjave tokom vikenda u američkim saveznim državama Teksas i Ohajo život je izgubila 31 osoba, a desetine ih je ranjeno.
